Bio - A brief overview of your educational and/or professional background

Narrative statement - Provide a brief description of your passion for filmmaking, offering a reflective insight into your filmmaking experience. Share your personal background, motivations for pursuing film studies, reasons for seeking enrollment at AFA, and outline your envisioned career path in fewer than 1000 words.

Resume - Attach your Resume

Letter(s) of recommendation - One letter is required.

Any previous work/project done in the Media field.

Avoidance of Illegal Activities

American Film Academy strictly prohibits engagement in any illegal activities by its students, faculty, or staff. Students are expected to comply with all local, state, and federal laws, including but not limited to copyright laws, intellectual property rights, and anti-discrimination laws.

Avoid use of Social Media Platforms

In line with maintaining a focused and professional learning environment, American Film Academy strongly discourages the active use of social media platforms, especially Instagram.

- Present yourself in a manner that reflects professionalism.

- Do your own work and give credit to others for their ideas and contributions.
- Report any incidents of academic dishonesty that you witness.

negatively on American Film Academy, its members, or the film industry.

- Do not post images or information involving academy-related activities on social media without
obtaining prior permission.
8. Professional Conduct Online:
- Abstain from engaging in public disputes or conflicts on social media that may adversely affect
the reputation of the academy or create a hostile online environment.
9. Online Representation of American Film Academy:
- When identifying as a student or representative of American Film Academy online, ensure that
your conduct aligns with the academy's values.
- Clarify that personal opinions shared online do not necessarily represent the official stance of
the academy unless authorized to speak on its behalf.

10. Avoidance of Harmful Content:
- Do not share or endorse content on social media that is offensive, discriminatory, or harmful to
any individual or group.
11. Moderation of Personal Content:
- Abstain from actively using personal social media accounts to maintain a professional and
positive online presence.
- Exercise caution regarding the content posted on personal accounts to align with American
Film Academy's standards.

12. Collaboration:
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for fellow students.
- Respect the ideas and contributions of others.
13. Communication:
- Use respectful and inclusive language in all communications.
- Resolve conflicts through open and constructive dialogue.

- Violations of the code of conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including but not limited to
warnings, probation, suspension, or expulsion.
15. Legal Compliance:
- Abide by all local, state, and federal laws. This includes respecting intellectual property rights,
licensing agreements, and copyright laws.
- Refrain from engaging in any activities that could jeopardize the legal standing of the academy
or its members.
16. Substance Abuse:
- Students should refrain from attending classes or participating in academy-related activities
under the influence of illegal substances.
17. Intellectual Property:
- Respect the intellectual property of others, including fellow students, faculty, and industry
professionals.
18. Legal Consequences:
- Violations of laws or engagement in illegal activities may result in severe consequences,
including but not limited to expulsion and legal action.

1. Certification Requirements (AFA - Certification):
- To obtain a certification from the AFA, students are required to fulfill the following criteria:
- Completion of all designated projects assigned throughout the course.
- Successful completion of all quizzes and assessments associated with the course.

2. Consequences for Incorrect Use of AFA Materials:
- AFA is committed to maintaining the integrity and reputation of its certifications. Any misuse or unauthorized distribution of AFA materials will result in serious consequences, which may include but are not limited to:
- Immediate termination of enrollment.
- Revocation of certification, if already obtained.

3. Responsibilities of Students:
- Students are expected to adhere to ethical standards and use AFA materials solely for educational purposes related to their enrolled courses.
- Any concerns regarding the appropriate use of AFA materials should be reported to the academy's administration promptly.

-Incorporating the AFA name in association with another university is expressly forbidden within the AFA policy framework, unless accompanied by the submission of a formal letter of authorization.

4. Appeal Process:
- In the event of disputes or concerns related to certification, dropping out fees, or consequences for misuse of materials, students have the right to submit an appeal. The appeal process and guidelines will be provided separately.

- AFA reserves the right to update or modify this policy as needed, and students will be notified of any changes in a timely manner.
